M1-3R2VI-DU is upgraded version of the existing product M1-2R2VI-DU in terms of reducing the number of extension fibers. That is, 8 fibers for transmitting 7 channels dual DVI are reduced into 4 fibers by implementing optically coupled two wavelengths on a fiber.
Like the existing product, M1-2R2VI-DU, the product consisting of transmitter and receiver boxes mostly supports the same features in resolution of WQXGA (2,560x1,600) and extension distance of 100m (330 feet) with DDC2B.
Another benefit, besides of reduction into 4 fibers, is to offer not only multi-mode (MM) fiber connection, but also single-mode (SM) fiber connection with product variation, which enables to extend DVI dual link data of WQXGA (2,560x1,600) resolution up to 2km (6, 600 feet) with pure optical connection through self-EDID programming feature. M1-3R2VI-DU also uses a CAT5e cable for DDC, Hot-plug and DC power and SM or MM fibers of two (2) duplex LC or four (4) simplex LC.
With two (2) simplex or one (1) duplex fibers connection, Single link DVI is able to be transmitted long distance as far as 2Km under WUXGA (1,920x1,200).
